Happy New Year!

Happy New Year, everyone!

Welcome, 2017! May you bring much happiness and joy to everyone :) I have a few New Year's resolutions, which I figured I might as well share the book/blogging related ones with you!

2017 New Year's Resolutions:

1. More posts: I didn't have as many posts last year as I did the year before, so I'd like to change that
2. More readalongs/collaborations: these are always so much fun, and I really want to do more of them. They're great ways to bond closer with other bloggers, plus I never get sick of buddy reading!
3. More rereads: I want to actually sit down and thoroughly reread some of the books I sped through last year, to actually appreciate how great they are and why I love them so much. And, naturally, I'll do reviews too, so be prepared for doubles of reviews of the same book!
4. Non-YA: this will be an attempt. I am not abandoning YA. I will, by no means, force myself to do this. I have enjoyed reading some Victorian classics for class these past years. I am also currently reading Isaac Asimov, who writes adult sci-fi/robot stories, which I also quite enjoy. This will be my supposed and begrudging "growing up" in terms of literature, upon much pestering by others.

So, what are your New Year's resolutions? Any of ours the same? Let me know!

  1. Happy New Year! I don't really make New Years resolutions per se, mainly because I don't like the commitment or feeling like a failure if I don't follow through XD BUT! I do strive to post more, read more, and have more fun this year :D Great post!

    1. Thank you! I totally understand not wanting to make a commitment--it can be hard, especially if you know there's a chance of failure! Better to underestimate yourself in this sense haha

  2. Happy New Year! I don#t really make resolutions besides the ones like "be happy", haha. My philosophy - same shit, different year :P But I hope you can keep your resolutions, especially about the rereads! I plan on rereading the Blood of Eden series this year :P What books do you plan on rereading?

    1. Haha, that's a great resolution overall! Ooooh, Blood of Eden. Definitely a great series (that ending with Kanin--KILLED ME). I plan to reread the Defiance series by C.J. Redwine this year and a few others hopefully!

  4. Happy new year Erika! One of my goals for 2017 is also to read more genres other than YA. I think it's such a great way to open our minds :)
